Hi, I’m Sharon Zaizay. I have been sewing for about 6 years and have realized how much I completely enjoy sewing and the process. A running sewing machine is music to my ears. I get inspiration from everywhere, including Pinterest, magazines, shopping, and just life. I love fashion and I love sewing. If I can make something or just make something better, I’m going to try.
I believe my enthusiasm for crafting and DIY is a gift from my mother. She taught my sister and me to crochet at an early age. She was a homemaker for the better part of her life and she was always trying to make our home, meals and our lives, better. She was always cooking, crocheting, decorating and creating, and so am I. She did not sew, and that is something I wish we had been given an opportunity to share.
Besides sewing, I also like decorating my home, making repairs and updates, and crocheting. I always have several projects going at any given time. In between projects, I make time to play with my husband Jallah, my cat, Cinders, and my sweet sweet old man spirit boxer-pit bull, Bosco. He’s my sweetheart. I also enjoy spending time with my daughter, my sister and my friends. As a side note, my husband and I flipped our first house this year, which was a great experience for both of us and one that I hope we get an opportunity to do again..
I started this blog because I’ve been wanting to start one for years. Now, I am doing it. I hope to share new sewing projects with you, some new patterns, some old, some just made up. I also want to share DIY home projects, or anything that I think might be worth sharing and of interest.
