McCalls MP205. Boho Tunic with Ruffled Sleeves 2023

MP205 Ruffled Tunic www.sewzaizay.com

Everyone knows I love anything with a bohemian flair, like this McCall’s MP205 pattern. McCalls MP205.  I made it a few years ago before this posting and failed miserably.  Then tried it again and was successful.  Here is the post where I made it previously.  Boho Ruffled Tunic.  Now, I am back at it again.

This is a great pattern.  There is so much you can do with the pattern and so many different fabrics you can use.  Although I did not make any modifications to this pattern, you can modify the sleeves, and even modify the length to make a dress, which I have done.  I will post that on my Instagram page once I wear it.  You can also add additional layers of ruffles on the sleeves and also the body.  It’s just a great pattern and one of my favorites. I can’t say enough good about it.  It is such a keeper and so easy if you just follow the simple instructions.  Your options are endless when it comes to fabric.  You can even make this tunic with a knit fabric and just go nuts with prints in any fabric.  A rayon fabric would be perfect and would give it an excellent drape.  I wore this tunic out to lunch and shopping with my sister.  This is one of those patterns that will always be in the stash.  For this pattern I made View B and I cut a size large.

For styling options, you can pair it with leggings, slim dress pants, jeans, and even shorts.   If you want to know what size I cut I the large.  The fabric was two different fabrics I already had.  Likely I ordered them both from Fabric.  I love this website and buy a lot of my fabric from here.  Their sales are always good and they always have something on sale. So check them out for your next sewing adventure or just to stock up. Yes, their sales are that good.

That’s a wrap for now, but I can’t wait to show you a new project, pattern, or DIY something.  Thank you for allowing me to share this tunic with you.
